Rotaract Club

Rotaract Clubs are a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30. Our Rotaract Club was chartered in April 2003 and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of River Oaks, making us true "partners in service" and a key member of the Rotary family.

Although our Rotaract Club is a community-based program, the Club currently has chapters affiliated with Rice University and the University of Houston. Many of the Club's members are working professionals from the greater Houston area who want to give back to their communities.

The Club's first project was a book drive benefiting Houston Independent School District schools. The Club had a great turn-out and collected more than a dozen boxes of books. These books were donated to Cage Elementary School, Jackson Middle School, and Austin High School, all schools where a majority of the students are considered "at-risk" students. These books were received with much appreciation from the District and from the staff of each of the schools.
